Liquid Oxygen

Liquid oxygen—abbreviated LOx, LOX or Lox

Liquid oxygen is a cryogenic liquid. Cryogenic liquids are liquefied gases that have a normal boiling point below -238°F (-150°C). Liquid oxygen has a boiling point of -297.3°F (-183.0°C). Liquid oxygen is an extremely cold, colorless, odorless, non-toxic oxidizing liquid and gas under pressure.

Strongly supports and accelerate combustion. Contact with liquid or cold vapors may cause cold burns or severe frostbite. May react violently with combustible materials. Keep away from oil or grease.

Normally air contains 21% oxygen and oxygen is essentially nontoxic.
Although nonflammable, oxygen is a strong oxidizer.

Other than its unique ability to support life.

Liquid Oxygen is also a valuable source of raw material for many industries. From the medical industry, steel making, aerospace, scientific research, welding and cutting.

Liquid nitrogen is denoted as LN2, LN, or LIN.
Liquid Nitrogen is inert, colorless, odorless, non-corrosive and nonflammable. It makes up a major portion of the atmosphere (78.03% by volume, 75.5% by weight).

Liquid Nitrogen gas is use in a variety of application. For example, as an inert replacement for air where oxidation is not desired, to preserve the freshness of packaged food, as a cheaper alternative to argon for incandescent light, tire filling, in the production of electronic parts, etc.

Liquid Argon

Liquid Argon is produced industrially by the fractional distillation of liquid air.

Liquid Argon is a cryogenic liquid. Cryogenic liquids are liquefied gases that have a normal boiling point below –130°F (–90°C). Liquid argon has a boiling point of –303°F (–186°C).

Liquid Argon is a non-toxic, tasteless, colorless, odorless, non-corrosive and nonflammable gas. It is the most abundant of the rare inert gases. Liquid Argon is more often use as inert gas shield for arch welding and cutting, as blanketing gas, in incandescent and fluorescent light, etc.

Liquid Carbon Dioxide

Liquid carbon dioxide is a type of liquid which is formed from highly compressed and cooled gaseous carbon dioxide.

Carbon Dioxide is a widely known inert chemical compound that is non-flammable, colourless, odourless and slightly acidic. Carbon dioxide is found in the air, and is heavier than oxygen. It is commonly use as refrigerant or cooling agent, in sodas and beers to make them carbonated or fizzy, fire fighting applications, etc.

Chemical Formula : CO2
Purity : 99.9%

Industrial Gases

Acetylene (Dissolved)

Formula : C2H2
Purity : 99.5%

Acetylene is a colourless, highly combustible gas with strong garlic-like odour. It is a synthetic gas produced from the reaction of water with Calcium Carbide and is stored in Acetone / DMF (solvent) filled cylinders. Acetylene is commonly use for metal cutting and welding, etc.

Argon

Formula : Ar
Purity : 99.99% – 99.999%

Argon is a non-toxic, tasteless, colourless, odorless, non-corrosive and nonflammable gas. It is the most abundant of the rare inert gases. Argon is more often use as inert gas shield for arch welding and cutting, as blanketing gas, in incandescent and fluorescent light, etc.

Carbon Dioxide

Formula : CO2
Purity : 99.5% – 99.98%

Carbon Dioxide is a widely known inert chemical compound that is non-flammable, colourless, odourless and slightly acidic. Carbon dioxide is found in the air, and is heavier than oxygen. It is commonly use as refrigerant or cooling agent, in sodas and beers to make them carbonated or fizzy, fire fighting applications, etc.

Nitrogen

Formula : N2
Purity : 99.95% – 99.999%

Nitrogen is inert, colorless, odorless, non-corrosive and nonflammable. It makes up a major portion of the atmosphere (78.03% by volume, 75.5% by weight). Nitrogen gas is use in a variety of application. For example, as an inert replacement for air where oxidation is not desired, to preserve the freshness of packaged food, as a cheaper alternative to argon for incandescent light, tire filling, in the production of electronic parts, etc.

Oxygen

Formula : O2
Purity : 99.5% – 99.8%

Oxygen is a colourless, odourless, nonflammable gas and is the 2nd largest component of the atmosphere, comprising 21% by volume. Although nonflammable, oxygen is a strong oxidizer. Other than it’s unique ability to support life, Oxygen is also a valuable source of raw material for many industries. From the medical industry, steel making, aerospace, scientific research, to welding and cutting, etc.

Helium

Formula : He
Purity : 99.995%-99.999%

Helium is an inert gas that is colourless, odourless, non-corrosive, non-toxic and nonflammable. Helium’s various uses includes deep-sea breathing, inflating balloons, cooler in MRI scanners, shielding gas in tungsten arc welding, tracer gas as a leak detector in high vacuum equipments etc.

Hydrogen

Formula : H2
Purity : 99.99%-99.999%

Hydrogen is a highly flammable colourless, odourless, non-toxic and non-corrosive gas. It is the lightest gas and most abundant element in the universe. Hydrogen is chemically reactive with almost every other elements. It is use as a Hydrogenating agent, reducing agent of metallic ores, shielding gas in welding, coolant in generators, as a tracer gas for minute leak detection in the form of pure of mixed with nitrogen (sometimes referred to as forming gas) etc.

Nitrous Oxide

Formula :N2O
Purity :99.0%-99.9%

Nitrous Oxide is a non-toxic, colourless, non-flammable gas with a slightly pleasant sweet taste and odor. It is a chemical compound commonly known as the Laughing Gas, due to the spontaneous laughing or exhilarating effect of inhaling it. It is widely use as a mild anesthesia in dentistry, oxidizer in rocker motor, in motor racing to increase power outputs of engineers, aerosol propellant, etc.

Propane

Formula : (C3H8)
Purity : 96%

Propane is considered as a Liquified petroleum gases, derived from the processing of natural gas and petroleum refining. At room temperature, it is colourless, non-toxic, and flammable and has characteristic natural gas odour. Propane is heavier than air; hence it usually sinks to the floor when there is a leakage. It is commonly use as fuel for industrial, domestic, hot air balloon and vehicle, refrigeration, etc

Baloon Gas

Balloon Gas is a mixture gas of mainly Helium and a small composition of Air or Nitrogen. As Helium gas is lighter than air, hence the reason why balloons rise when filled with Helium and sinks after a few days when the Helium starts to leak. It is safe as it is nonflammable and doesn’t react with most chemicals.

Dry Ice

Dry Ice is the solid form of carbon dioxide. Dry Ice is primarily use for freezing or as a cooling agent. Due to it’s extreme low temperature of -109.3°F or -78.5°C, which is lower than ice water, Dry ice changes directyly from solid to gas during sublimation without leaving any residue.

Speciality Gases
