Collaboration Between ITEBA and Duta Surya Sukses

Batam, November 18, 2024 – Dr. Eng. Ansarullah Lawi, Vice Rector for Academic, Student Affairs, and Alumni Relations at the Batam Institute of Technology (ITEBA), visited PT. Duta Surya Sukses (DSS), an Air Separation Plant in Batam that produces liquid oxygen, liquid argon, and liquid nitrogen. The visit aimed to strengthen ties between education and industry while introducing students to air separation technology, which is the core of DSS’s operations. The visit was warmly received by Mr. Pancoro Hari Soesanto, DSS Marketing Representative, who facilitated discussions on potential collaboration for education development and student exposure to the industrial world.

The main discussions during the meeting focused on opportunities for collaboration to bridge students with practical applications of industrial technology, particularly in air separation processes. Identified areas of collaboration included training programs, industrial visits, and joint research exploration. These efforts aim to bridge the gap between academic theory and the practical demands of the workforce.

Mr. Hari explained DSS’s commitment to supporting sustainable education initiatives. “We believe that collaboration between education and industry is key to creating competent human resources who are ready to face future challenges.
